Pollution Prevention Planning Assistance
The Environmental Assistance Office provides a number
of services that are designed to assist Vermont business and industry
in their efforts to increase efficiency, decrease costs and PREVENT
POLLUTION. These services include:
Pollution Prevention Planning
Waste Reduction Specialists can assist industrial and other facilities
with all aspects of Pollution Prevention Planning, from developing a policy
statement to identifying opportunities to prevent waste.
Research Assistance
Pollution Prevention Program staff can perform library and electronic
literature and information searches for businesses that are interested
in identifying cleaner manufacturing technologies or less toxic/hazardous
materials.
Waste Reduction Assessments
Waste Reduction Specialists are available to perform environmental assessments
at your facility that will identify opportunities to reduce the environmental
impact of your business while increasing efficiencies, improving working
conditions and decreasing compliance costs and liability.
Conferences/Workshops/Training
The Pollution Prevention Program develops and sponsors industry and process
specific workshops, conferences and training programs that help to keep
Vermont businesses up to date on the latest technologies and practices
to reduce waste.
